Seaweed & sandstone boulder
22nd June
Deepest charcoal blue, the stormy clouds an hour before dawn were eerily cool and splendid – but to the west, breaking through over the vast Atlantic, the deep orange setting of a full moon, huge and red in the dark sapphire skies, like a tropical sunrise.
Curlew calling on my return through the post-dawn pinks and, outside my room, a peregrine falcon watching from the crag behind, close and calm.
