The river’s morning heron in its usual place, keen and tranced.
The quiet of twilight hills, blues and reds glowing off their constant bulk, the sky calmly changing, earth strong in presence.
Bats appearing as the full moon rose, and moths about the darkened lane, prey and preyed upon stirring alike as night fell and the trickling stream echoed up through the quiet of woods in darkness and stars above.
