11th April
(Penpleidiau, Caerfai, Pembrokeshire, 2007)
Dawn a rosy glow under half a moon that hung surreal in pale blue above.
By evening, calm water cerulean, with a fine low mist seeming to rise before the horizon, hiding the divide of sea and sky so that Skomer was mysteriously placed, almost nowhere, disconnected yet its own firm island.
Not quite as clear as the previous evening though, when the light was extraordinary, like Greece.
