Afon Teifi, St Dogmaels
10th May
Mud bright in the half dark. A heron moving down the channel. Curlew later as I strolled the sands, walking down to roughening waves.
Dunes colonised by spring scrub, may blossom, gorse and bluebells, a pretty fragrance under a dark sky. Across the path between fresh growth of leafless tree and flowering bush, the clear colours of a bullfinch, beautiful rose orange brown and white by the tail. All too brief, but unmistakable, a beautiful flit of bird.
