What the river says

What does a river say? What does the ceaseless trickle over smooth stones mean? The motionless massive flow as a river nears its end. Natural visions speak to us all in different ways. I do not seek meaning through my work, nor do I seek meaning in the river, the sandy beach, the fallen tree I may be photographing. These things simply are, they exist, they are the basis of our life and they speak to me. I do not know what they say.
