The pure stone

The phrase runs, ‘to reduce to its essence’, but concentrating and simplifying an image to highlight the pure essence of a subject is an expansion. The purer the essence, the wider its implications. To distil the fundamental essence leaves the viewer pleasantly lost in thought and dream.
