Marvellous isolation

Isolation is a fiction of art, and its essence. An image appeals when simplicity provides visual clarity and elegant design. Simplifying means isolating, and so there is a difficult balance. An image may be clarified through simplicity, but must also convey what is beyond the frame. Nothing exists in isolation.
