About
A scattering of written fragments serve as useful headings for some thoughts about my approach to photography. As with the Portfolio, this section is an ongoing development, and further relevant thoughts will be added here as and when they may occur. The sources can be found here.

Lost hours
A photograph is not a desperate attempt to claw back lost hours. Rather, a successful image will create its own time - or timelessness. The hour of its making is fixed, but hours created in the minds of viewers are infinite. Lasting artistic endeavour steps outside of time, and makes its own.
